The following City Pool Rules are listed for your convenience so you may be informed prior to your visit. Disregard for these rules can result in bodily harm and/or loss of swim privileges.
  • Children under the age of nine (9) must be accompanied by an adult (within arms reach) 16 years of age or older
  • All individuals under the age of 18 are subject to a swim test
  • Wear proper swim attire (see admission regulations)
  • Shower before entering the water
  • Walk around the pool area, do not run
  • No food or drinks allowed in the pool
  • Bottles, glass and other hazardous objects prohibited from facility
  • Only US Coast Guard approved personal floatation devices permitted.
  • Any person wearing a US Coast Guard approved device must be within arm's reach of an adult
  • Inflatable tubes or devices are prohibited in any pool
  • Pool equipment is for aquatic classes, and may be used for other activities at the discretion of the Aquatics staff
  • Non-service animals are prohibited on the pool deck. No animals may enter the pool water at anytime
  • Do not enter the water when ill with diarrhea, open wounds, or contagious disease
  • Swim Diapers and snug fitting plastic pants are required for children not potty trained
  • No changing diapers in, on, or within 6 ft of the water
  • The pool and deck close during inclement weather
  • Listen to the Lifeguards and Staff
  • Swim safely and have fun

    The following IS allowed:

    • Swim toys (except for large tubes and rafts)
    • U.S. Coast Guard approved personal flotation devices
    • Use of devices to protect eyes, ears, nose (goggles, earplugs, etc.) except on slides and diving boards
    • Food and beverage consumption in designated areas (i.e. picnic tables and lawn)
    • Radios, tape players, or other single use musical devices of private listening if headphones are in use. 
    • Children under 9 years of age must be directly attended by a swimming adult, in a swimsuit (within arm’s reach of a person at least 16 years of age) at all times in the facility.
    • Proper attire: bathing suits, board shorts or swim shirts made out of lycra, neoprene, or wickwear may be worn. No cotton clothing, no denim, no basketball shorts, no socks, no undergarments/underwear.
    • No intoxication and/or consumption of alcoholic beverages
    • Tobacco products and illegal substances are prohibited
    • Admission may be refused for any reason that may endanger the health or safety of the public (i.e. open sores, rashes, runny eyes or nose)
    • Apparel that may be disruptive or distracting to the general patronage may cause staff to request the patron to be appropriately covered or exit pool.
    • One bounce only on Diving Board, must be forward facing.
