The Lewisville WAVE Swim Team is open to all swimmers (ages 5+) who wish to swim during the summer. This seasonal program is for individuals who are not involved in a year round private competitive swimming organization.

The summer season is fast paced, high energy, and geared towards those looking to develop better strokes, improve technique, or reach personal goals. The seasonal coaching staff will be available to assist in all aspects of the swim team experience and will maintain a positive learning environment throughout the season.

The City of Lewisville is not offering WAVE Swim Team for Summer 2024. Please check back in Spring 2025 for next Summer 2025 information.

Practices
  • All practices take place at Sun Valley Aquatic Center.
  • Practice Schedule is determined by age group.

Males and Females Ages 5 – Adult

Age Groups: 5-6, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, 15-17, 18-24, 25-39, 40 & up
Age groups are determined by the swimmer's age as of June 1.

Any swimmer age 14 and under, registered with USA swimming for 2023 will be ineligible to participate.
Swimmers must be able to easily swim one (1) length of the pool (25 yards) without stopping. This is not a swim lesson class.

Who can participate?

  • Any swimmer over the age of 5 (Age is determined as of June 1, 2024). A swimmer is defined as a person comfortably able to swim a length of the pool, not stopping with rhythmic breathing. If you would like an evaluation before signing up, please contact the Aquatics Team.  
  • Participants must not have been a USA Swimmer in the past year.
  • Participants must provide a copy of their birth certificate or driver's license.
